Conservative politics has led Britain down a dead-end street and into the mess it now finds itself in

When will the British people come to the realisation that the mess that Britain now finds itself in is as a direct result of putting in power successive inept and incompetent Conservative governments. The Conservative Party has led Britain down a dead-end street to the mess that it now finds itself in. The most recent manifestations of these governments have shown that they lack any ideas or ambition to turn Britain around. Conservative Party policies lack any ambition for Britain, instead clinging onto the outdated ideologies of thatcherism which have been shown not to work. Britain needs a fresh set of ideas to tackle the issues of today. The Tories lack these ideas and they lack leadership: they are barren and dysfunctional. They are unrepresentative of the majority of the British people who stand to gain nothing at all by voting Conservative. So why aren’t people catching on to this? Is it something so endemicaly British that says we must suffer and put up with incompetence? Why should we put up with attacks on all the things that are good or were good about Britain like the NHS for example. Don’t let the Tories fool you with their rhetoric they hate the NHS: they see it only as a tax burden. The recent austerity program that they imposed upon Councils was in reality just a ‘blessing in disguise’ for the Tories in that it allowed them to go further with cuts to public funding than even Margaret Thatcher could have dreamed of. With these cuts they have drawn a line in the sand and there will be no return to the excellence of our public services not under the Tories.

And if you didn’t think that this was bad enough we now have the prospect of Boris Johnson as Prime Minister

James Goddard: the embarrassing face of British bigotry and Brexit

Britain is an embarrassment and James Goddard is a perfect example of why we are an embarrassment. Together with this and this week’s demonstration of our MEPs in Brussels Britain has  brought shame upon itself through the behaviour of a bunch of well paid public servants prepared to make a mockery of their respective roles and badly behaved yobs though neither are distinguishable since they have so much in common. Neither of these show Britain in a good light. MEPs get paid relatively large salaries in relation to the average wage so now seems to be paying them to be antagonist and disruptive like badly behaved bunch of school children. Is that really value for the money they receive? Some anti Europeans might think it is I suppose but in all sincerity I think the money could have been better spent unless you think that burning bridges between our European neighbours is really the right way to do business. All in all not a good week for Britain. Are these the representative faces of the Brexit lobby it would seem to be representative of at least some proportion of the Brexit vote. Is this really something that you could be proud of, that Britain could be proud of? Have we really become just a nation of biggots, antagonistic towards our neighbours and outsiders, lacking in the spirit of cooperation and understanding ?

The ‘Special Relationship’ that seems to rely on Trump’s terms and tantrums

This special relationship between the US and the UK that is supposed to exit and that is so oft referred to seems to be nothing other than a one-sided promise that is dependent upon Donald Trump’s terms and tantrums. This special relationship was announced by Theresa May early on in her premiership and was supposed to be the foundation of the Brexit promise of better trading options post Brexit. It was held up as a model for likely trade agreements outside the EU. Recently we have seen 2 incidents which call this ‘Special Relationship’ into question and shows it up for what it really is: a one-sided attempt by the US to interfere in British Politics and an attempt to assuage power over the British Economy.

Trump lies in wait like a vulture for post Brexit Britain

Trump has shown that he is willing to bully the UK and Brexit has given him the opportunity

So this is the life after Brexit: a taster of the special relationship and phenomenal trade deals that await after the UK after Brexit. Or will the UK be a disrespected nation subjected to the bullying behaviours of more stable and powerful economies like the US. The lack of respect shown towards Britain’s ambassador to the US more likely indicates the latter. As our position becomes one of beggar looking for trade deals anywhere we can find them ,we should be mindful that the Eagle of the US may actually be a vulture waiting to pick over the bones of the UK as it struggles along outside the EU. Without negotiating power or powerful friends we could find that the terms of any special relationships may be neither quite as favourable nor mutual beneficial or as respectful as we first naively believed.

Bodge-it makes his first gaff and he isn’t even Prime Minister yet

Sincerely you would have thought that as a previous Foreign Secretary that Bodge-it-Johnson would have had at least some grasp of how the Foreign Office works and the respectively roles of Foreign Ambassadors well it seems not. Bodge-it’s casual remarks no doubt in some way contributed to the resignation of Sir Kim Darrock. By kowtowing down to President Trump in an attempt to ingratiate himself and his ever growing political ambition Bodge-it seems to have ripped up the Rule Book regarding the respective roles and qualities needed to the job of foreign ambassador and in the process made us as a nation look weak by giving in to bullying behaviours, all this on the eve of his supposedly greatest triumph. What appears to be the case is that Sir Kim Darrock was actually too good at his job because he was doing it very well indeed and because of this it seems to have caused others offence, he was simply the victim of the incompetence and ignorance of others who were less good at their jobs. So Trump throws a tantrum and Bodge just caves in and as a result others have to clean up the mess left behind. So begins Bodge’s first exploit into the world of ‘Kindergarten Politics’. I am pretty sure he will fit in well! Will this just be the first in a long string of similar incompetent gaffs by Bodge-it, I think it probably will be so.

Bodge-it Johnson promises everything but will deliver on nothing

Bodge-it certainly sees himself as a Churchill like figure and that is basically what he bases his image upon. He sees this as the moment of Britain’s  greatest need and he sees himself as the figure likely to step in to lead the Country out of it’s darkest hour towards a brighter future. All this really shows is that Bodge is full of his own importance and vanity and is in fact just a manipulative, self seeking individual from a privileged background. Also what Bodge-it fails to grasp is that Churchill reacted to circumstances brought about by other despotic figures in the world at that time. Bodge on the other hand is only trying to fix the mess of his own making and Cameron’s I should add. There is no real comparison between himself and Churchill. Churchill was a great man and Boris is well just a bit of a prat really. So when I hear statements from Bodge suggesting that he will make Britain the greatest place on Earth well you just have to laugh it is so absurd. This man cannot deliver on any of the outrageous promises he makes. He was only trusted with half a job by Theresa May and he managed to mangle and bodge that one up as well. Being a Mayor with little to do really and being a Prime Minister to lead and inspire are 2 very different roles. Bodge will just make a hash of being Prime Minister and lead the country towards ruin. Bodge has no compassion or understanding for those whose livelihoods will be wrecked as a result of his silly political meanderings. For Bodge-it it’s all just a game without serious consequences. He shows little understanding of the real world because he knows that he personally will not have to face the consequences of his silly public schoolboy pranks. Britain is certainly on the verge of catastrophe but the situation is in fact traceable back to Bodge-it-Johnson anyway and the misinformation of his Leave Campaign and it’s outrageous or liberal use of the truth and the figures during that Campaign.

Tories seem to want a quick fix Brexit by calling upon Hunt & Bodge it Johnson

Tories are desperate to rid themselves of the continuing embarrassment of Brexit so they seem to be placing their faith in the dodgy building firm of Hunt & Bodge it. They seem to want a quick fix to Brexit (a Rush Job) in order to rid themselves of the continued embarrassment of seemingly not being able to successfully get the job done. In order to hide their incompetence they have given the work to Hunt & Bodge it a dodgy local firm with a poor reputation which rumour has it will soon be going into liquidation anyway. But wasting public money by giving contracts to dodgy businesses has never really worried the Tories anyway.

Both Hunt and Bodge it claim that they can get the job done on time by the deadline but neither can guarantee the quality of their workmanship or that people will not suffer as a result of their labour’s. Health and Safety are not really matters of concern for Hunt & Bodge it!

Melanie Onn’s comments about a second Brexit referendum are not representative

Comments made today by Grimsby MP are not necessarily representative of the general feeling in the Labour Party towards a second Brexit referendum. Particularly because the Labour Party need to improve their support in Scotland if they are to have any serious chance of success in a General Election. Scotland is clearly in favour of remaining in the EU. The only way of achieving greater electoral success in Scotland is to offer at the very least a second Brexit referendum. Therefore there could be much to gain by offering a second referendum as a manifesto pledge. There are also many Party members who support Remain. For more details please see my post on this issue.

David Cameron was probably the worst Prime Minister in British history but could this be topped soon?

Let’s not forget the useless David Cameron who was probably the worst British  Prime Minister of all time. David Cameron should not be let off easily fir his incompetency: but instead he has be allowed  to profit from his profound  incompetence and bad judgement. Let’s face it, David Cameron was most probably the worst Prime Minister that Britain has ever had. His lasting legacy of incompetence can still be witnessed today with the ongoing debacle of Brexit. Not only had he given opportunity to wreck his Country but he also opened the door to to wreck his own Conservative Party through a posthumous demonstration of their ineptness and inadequacies to cope with the stupid promises that he made in order to bribe his way into power. No wonder he legged it and disappeared under a rock as soon as the results of the Brexit Referendum were known.
