Hasn’t Theresa May heard of email?

All this shuttling back and forth between London and Brussels is surely unnecessary! Surely Theresa May could put simple questions like ,’Can we have an extension please? or ‘Could you reconsider the Irish Backstop question?’ in an email to Brussels. Why does she have to go in person to make simple requests, it’s so old fashioned and outdated? However i don’t know why I am so surprised by the fact that she has not got to grips with email yet as I have mentioned in other articles she is out of touch with the will of the British people and she is so blinkered that she is now out of control like a runaway train. To be blunt she is a political dinosaur due for extinction. She has not caught up to the fact that the slender 3.8% majority that once supported Brexit has now long gone and there is now a new ‘will of the British People’ to stop Brexit. Maybe if she had email she might be a little more in touch with both Brussels and with British Public Opinion

3.8% Majority has gone and Brexit is no longer the ‘will of the people’

Whether it is deal or no deal, Brexit is now no longer the ‘will of the British People’. The 3.8% majority in favour of Brexit has now gone and Brexit is no longer the’ will of the people’. The slender majority that initially supported Brexit has been eroded now by realities and realisations of the impact of Brexit either in a no deal scenario or with a poor deal ala Theresa May’s Deal.

Brexit is now dead in the water, it’s 3.8% majority has gone and our politicians need to catch up fast to the new ‘will of the people’

Brexit is now dead in the water and despite this our politicians seem to be ploughing on regardless with cloth ears. The Prime Minister, Theresa May, in particular is the biggest culprit. She is now out of step with public opinion because the 3.8% majority in favour of Brexit has now been eroded to nothing and Brexit is no longer the ‘will of the British People’. After all the bad publicity for Brexit it is inconceivable to imagine that a large proportion have not changed their minds and this is why we need a second referendum now that we have a clearer understanding about the implications of our exit from the EU. Despite this Theresa May is carrying on in a blinkered fashion like a demented racehorse, past its best and running at full speed until it finally exhausts itself and winds up in the knackers yard. British politicians and May in particular need to catch up with public opinion. 2 years is a long time in politics and the EU Referendum was now a very long time ago and public opinion in relation to Brexit has now changed.

Brexit’s 3.8 % has almost certainly gone but May carries on regardless

The Brexit 3.8 % has almost certainly eroded away now that the reality of the implications of EU are becoming clearer. News about the possible outcomes of Brexit is now becoming much clearer with investment in the UK declining and big businesses pulling up roots and walking. Prices of goods are set to rise and there is a possibility of food shortages. Public opinion and desire for Brexit, either with deal or no deal, has almost certainly eroded away the meagre 3.8% majority it had over 2 years ago. Despite all this Theresa May and the out of touch politicians in Government seem oblivious to this change in public opinion and are still determined to push through to complete Brexit regardless. How out of touch and blinkered can they be to this change in public opinion? Opinions change over 2 years + and the desire to leave the EU has now dwindled considerably. Besides which you would have only to look at the overall composition of the British people to realise that the outcome of the original vote should have been adjusted to account for the composition of that vote which was racist, or lacked understanding of the underlying issues. In reality there is at least 3.8 % + of the British people that are racists, bigots, illiterate and just plain stupid. So in reality the vote should have been adjusted accordingly by factoring in the overall composition of British Society to nullify their impact on the overall outcome of the vote. Instead we have been held to account by a small majority representing the most unpleasant and unsavoury side of British Society. Great Job!

Tories Brexit dilemma: Caution or Recklessness

I initially wrote this regarding Theresa May’s unenviable Brexit dilemma however since her forced resignation I have decided to update it as of 05/06/19. In reality there will not be many changes to make because the dilemma for the Tories remains the same no matter who they choose to be their new Leader. To most of us it would appear a rather pointless excercise changing Leader at this Stage. It is like changing a Football Manger on the Last Game of the Season: it will make little difference. However for the unfortunate Prime Minister May her team was full of self serving opportunists, not really a team at all really so her demise this far on came as no real shock to anyone. It comes as no real surprise then that this Team has done so badly for the Country achieving almost nothing during it’s residency. Now the Tories are looking for a new Leader to unify the team but the challenges remain exactly as they were for Theresa May.

Problems lie ahead for any new Tory Leader and they need to choose very wisely who is going to be at the helm. May’s deal with the EU was not enough to unify her party behind her or enough for the support of the DUP either. These Problems remain and the EU is unlikly to offer any better deal to the incoming Prime Minister either. In fact only yesterday the EU released a statement toughening up their stance and drawing a clear line that Negotiations will not continue after the 31/10/19 and failure to reach agreement before that date will result in Britain leaving without any deal at all on that date. problems that face the new Tory leader still remain that EU will not give Britain the deal that it requires to satisfy Parliament and also will not be satisfactory to the  the British Public because of fudged proposals for the deal which is unlikely to satisfy what most Leavers voted for in the first place. Neither can any new Leader let the process continue to a ‘No Deal’ scenario mainly because this outcome puts the Conservative Party at incredible future risks of becoming non electable for a extended period should things go badly.  This is a huge Brexit dilemma for any new Leader of the the Conservative Party. The process is not just about getting Brexit done by some hard line ( reckless) Brexiteer it is about ensuring that the Tories have a future as a viable Party after we do go on to Leave the EU. It is more about the circumstances surrounding our departure and the implications for Britain as we do.

Chicken fried rice- a well kept secret

I have been searching to find a recipe for chicken fried rice that tastes anything close to what I have come to expect from a local takeaway. I have looked online and through my many recipe books including those by well known celebrity chefs and those that specialise in oriental style cookery. I have tried those recipes for fried rice which have really left me quite underwhelmed with the results. So far I have drawn a complete blank with those sources. It seems that either this is a well guarded secret or that the very title given to the dish ‘Chicken fried rice’ is actually a complete misnomer: a red herring perhaps designed to obscure the truth regarding how the dish should actually be prepared.

Brexit means Wreckbrit

Let’s be honest I think Wreck it Ralph could do a better job of the Brexit negotiations than either Theresa May or (yawn-go-to-sleep,  I’m simply uninterested anyway, laughing stupidly) David Davis. Not to mention the exceptional wrecking abilities of Boris Johnson who basically wrecks anything that he comes into contact with including his own political career, the Country and his own Conservative Party to name just a few. So it has occurred to me a better solution to our relationship with Europe and our economic policies is to put  Wreck it Ralph in charge of Britain and let’s put this one to the the people’s vote. Most people know the animated character of Wreck it Ralph and have a better understanding of what he stands for than say Theresa May or Jeremy Corbyn even, so I am sure that the British Public would vote for him if they saw him on an electoral ballot sheet. Letting the country make a contribution to the wrecking of Britain (Wreckbrit) and our economic future might be a good idea anyway and a political vote winner; oh but wait a minute that is what has already happened isn’t it? It also appears that all 4 of these characters ( with the exception of Corbyn I might add who has not yet been given the opportunity yet to wreck anything) have something in common they are all good at wrecking things. The only difference is that Wreck it Ralph only wrecks things in an animated world that is not real. All the others either directly wreck things that matter or support the wrecking of things that matter and have importance for the future economic stability of Britain and the future well-being of it’s citizens. This is a process that I now declare as Wreckbrit.

Taxation taxation taxation sums up the lack of creative thinking in May’s Government

If in doubt hike up the taxes. Despite the poor and those suffering through Austerity raise the taxes even more. Again it’s 2 fingers up to those poor ‘Jams’.

British People are worse off year by year and it’s about to get worse

What is wrong with the British People and why are they such gluttons for punishment. Year by year our incomes become diminished through: utility price rises, spurious taxes (Sugar Tax), Rail Fare hikes and; the costs of goods, food and basic services increasing. Yet still our pay remains frozen or rises at a significantly lower rate than inflation and yet we still put up with it and muddle through. Britain is reverting back to the Victorian times again where we see: charities helping out the poorest sectors of society with a reliance upon philanthropy rather than state policies to support the poorest (which are more often than not the actual cause of the problems), massive rises in homelessness; and the belligerent exploitation of the plight of the poorest by wealthy landlords or unscrupulous employers. Most of us have become victims to this predatory behaviour from the wealthier classes either through our working conditions/practices or simply as a result of the all encompassing feedback we all get from Tory policies and their ideologies. Many of us are caught in a poverty trap just scrapping by and unable to afford to save to buy a home of our own. This simply will not do despite the sham, shallow concern expressed by Prime Minister Theresa May during her ‘JAM’ period, where she tried to convince you that she was concerned but time has revealed this not to be the case. This is position for which she has no real concerns for the plight of the exploited at all. Instead whole generations are being doomed to exist in this lifestyle: being exploited by low wages, few opportunities, dead end jobs or zero hours contracts.  The Tories have always insisted that work should pay and they have oft used this as their justification and rallying cry to persecute the poorest unfortunate enough to have to rely on the Benefits System with repeated systematic attacks on the Benefits System in the UK. Yet despite this for the majority in low paid employment work simply is not paying nor bringing about any sort of rewards at all that you would associate with the effort required. This is not good enough! There is really no hope in sight for change: or is there?

Theresa May manoeuvres to escape blamelessly for Brexit debacle

The Brexit Circus just goes around and around in circles getting us nowhere. The Prime Minister Theresa May and her clown, David Davis, seem to have no idea at all of how to negotiate with the EU. All we seem to be seeing from Theresa May is her abilities to annoy the EU with her misguided arrogance and insistence that Britain will dictate the terms of it’s departure from the EU, whilst the EU seems equally insistent that it will not submit to our demands. Pretty much everyone else with an ounce of sense in this Country knows that we just cannot dictate the terms of our departure and insist that we get everything that we want: it just does not work like that. The EU is also telling us the same message that Britain cannot dictate terms to them and insist that it gets all it wants. In reality we have a very weak hand to play whilst the EU holds a much stronger position. They have more to gain and less to loose from all this. Membership subscriptions bring rewards and privileges enjoyed by members and outside of the club you loose these rights and privileges and benefits associated with membership. It’s plain and simple and quite simply the message that the EU wants to send to other member countries that may think of leaving: that they should beware of what lies beyond the boundaries of the Membership Circle. Britain will no doubt suffer as a consequence of leaving this Membership Circle and the EU will be keen to reinforce this message. Any Leave Campaigners that had the notion that we could leave the EU and retain or cherry pick our terms of departure leaving in it’s place an arrangement that was more favourable to Britain was simply: delusional, misinformed or simply misguided.
