With the issues of Greenland and Venezuela in the balance Trump has shown that he thinks along similar lines to Putin. Trump is willing to show force to acquire what he wants in a similar way to Putin. This is especially apparent regarding the issue of Greenland. We have yet to see if Trump will use force to acquire it but at he moment he implying that that is an option. We are seeing that Trump is as much of an Imperialist as Putin and both are equally ruthless. Because Trump is so similar to Putin he is of no use to the Ukraine in peace negotiations with Russia. Trump’s recent actions expose him as just as much of an Imperialist as Putin which rules him out as being a useful peace negotiator with Putin, whom he obviously admires. Secondly Trump’s deployment and involvement with ICE is similar to the role of the Russian President and his control over the police. Like Putin’s police force ICE fulfill or are beginning to fulfill the same role as a private army checking dissidence amongst the civilian population and providing punishments coming directly from the President. The purpose of the police and ICE is civilian control and ideological control and monitoring.
Turning NATO member states against each other could only be a plan thought up by Putin
Conveniently turning NATO member states against one another must have been something that Putin must have dreamed of happening and here we are in 2026 and it may be becoming a reality. Putin has been wanting to divide NATO forever. Nobody actually believed that this was even possible but Putin must have dreamed of it. A split in NATO comprising of a divide between the USA. A NATO without the USA would obviously be severely weakened. The convenience of this just landing in Putin’s lap seems just too good to be true and so it might be. At face value it just looks like a series of events instigated by Trump which has led up this very convenient and favourable outcome for Putin. Putin looks to have been a very passive beneficiary of a process in which he has seemingly played no part at all. But is this just smoke and mirrors and all part of the illusion ? It all seems so convenient.
Is it really plausible that Trump is desperate to get his hands on Greenland? After all Greenland is open to having a US presence in Greenland for purposes of defence. Greenland doesn’t even seem to object to USA’s quest for rare earth minerals. So why must Trump’s America have absolute ownership of Greenland. It doesn’t make sense. So is Greenland just a vehicle which Trump is using to weaken or loosen his ties to NATO? Has there been a calculation that NATO simply would not tolerate action by a member state against another member state. Is this a line that NATO will not cross. Has Putin calculated this as a final strategy to set America free if it’s obligations to NATO and thus weaken it? Is Trump merely acting out a strategy that has been drawn up by Putin?
