There is hope if Zelensky rejects this American Peace Deal and if America refuses to assist the Ukraine in it’s war effort. If Donald Trump starts being petulant and cuts off military assistance to the Ukraine all things are not lost if European Countries resolve to fill the gap left by the Americans. In fact this could be a very good solution effectively removing Trump from any peace negotiations. At the moment from what we have seen so far from Trump is that he is obviously more favorable towards Putin and he is also focused on making lots of money by allowing Russia to rejoin the G7 and removing sanctions. This is a major ambition for Trump who basically sees everything in monetary terms or what he can personally gain from any dealings.

Cutting out Trump and Americans could put more pressure on Putin in any future peace negotiations as Trump is certainly more favorable towards Putin than he is towards Zelensky. My own opinion of this new Peace Deal is that it has basically been drawn up by Putin himself and that the Americans are merely messengers. Trump has been given these instructions by Putin. The reason is that there is nothing at all favorable or even acceptable to the Ukrainians in it at all. To pass this off as a Peace Deal has exposed Trump, more than at any other stage, as a Russian Asset being controlled by Putin. Even the most basic intelligence would agree that there is absolutely nothing in it for the Ukrainians and that is also judged against what Zelensky has said what was unacceptable in previous negotiations. By all accounts this new Peace Deal is an attempt to blackmail Zelensky with deadlines and punishments for not accepting the ‘Deal’. As we are reminded so many times nowadays not to trust any deal that makes you rushed and pressured into accepting it because it likely to be a scam: as it is in this case.
Cutting out Trump and the Americans from any ongoing peace negotiations going forward would be a good result
Trump wants a quick solution and has taken sides in favor of Putin in order to accomplish this. This new American Peace Deal represents this because there have been no real considerations given to the Ukraine or the threat that Putin respresents to Europe. He sees Putin as holding all the cards and Zelensky none: but he is wrong. If Trump goes into his childish , petulant self and says he is going to wash his hands off the matter might not be a bad thing for Zelensky. Cutting out Trump and the Americans might actually be the best of results for Zelensky as it will be the loss of a key influence for Putin. If Putin has to negotiate with only the European Leaders and Zelensky he is going to be without any allies apart from Victor Orban of Hungary. This way Putin looses his key ally Trump and will be left isolated. If only Zelensky and European Leaders are at the table then Europe can puts it’s interests to the fore. The European Leaders all understand more than Trump what a threat Putin actually is. It becomes not about money and business it also becomes about security and dangers to Europe. Putin is therefore disadvantaged in all these areas. To Europe Putin still represents a despotic psychopathic imperialist with dangerous ambitions. Without Trump Putin is isolated. If Trump washes his hands of the Ukrainian issue he also becomes isolated and voiceless: a position he would despise.
What happens to Trump and the Americans if they eliminate themselves from any ongoing Peace Deals after this one is rejected?
Well Trump is going to look isolated. Yes he may be putting America first but Americans sphere of influence in world matters is shrinking. He is going to become a big nobody of diminishing importance. His ideas about himself and his vanity are going to suffer. This is another card that Zelensky holds ‘Trump’s Vanity and sense of Self-importance’. Trump effectively would become a man without a voice in Europe. That would kill him, well hopefully. But it does kill his sphere of influence in Europe in that he effectively has no say about matters in the Ukraine and in European matters.
Also Putin looses his hold on European Nations currently being exerted through Trump. Putin looses his grip on future peace negotiations on behalf of the Ukraine with Europe. Putin cannot put his stamp on matters.
All in all the loss of American input is not going to be that damaging as it initially threatened to be if Europe can fill the void. This leaves Trump shouting out from the other side of the Atlantic and not being heard.
