No detail Mordaunt: vague on everything other than wanting a job

Penny Mordaunt will basically  do anything for a job. She supported Liz Truss’s ideas to get in her cabinet when her own chances of becoming PM slipped away. Now she’s  having another go but her ideas about what she would and wouldn’t  do if she got the job remain extremely vague which basically  amounts to having no idea at all. So all in all what we do know about Penny Mordaunt is that she is ambitious and that’s  about it. She also changes her track to suit the moment and to best serve her own purpose  and ambition. We also know nothing about what her policies are because it seems that they are basically  made up on the hoof. Strikingly similar to Liz Tuss  who just couldn’t  fill in the details and hid from real scrutiny: Mordaunt  would be equally  disastrous  as the Prime Minister. Surely by now she should recognise the error of such ways given the quick demise and shining example that Liz Truss gave as a way in which to not do things. However it seems not to be the case. Mordaunt  remains vague and non-committal and as such unconvincing.

The Conservative Clown Show goes on and on

The Conservative  Clown Show goes on and on and just keeps giving. The Conservatives  have managed to turn both politics and economics into a standing joke. Forget ‘Live at the Apollo’ and just watch the news. Now we hear that their main Clown is to rejoin the Show. The bungling buffoon is coming back so the plot gets even more ridiculous. I have previously  highlighted the lack of talent in the Conservative  Party and this has been confirmed  by recent events. They just can’t  think of anyone except to be their leader except a failed Prime Minister. Poor Rishi Sunak who appears to the only one with an ounce of talent  and credibility. Sunak was the main man behind Boris Johnson and whilst Johnson was donning the hard hats and pretending to be a working class person it was Sunak who steered the ship economically. Sunak was the sensible one whilst Boris was the Clown performing for the media. Johnson has little grasp on economics and even less grasp on the  truth. Without Sunak Johnson was nothing but a buffoon. Johnson is incapable  of the serious  stuff. Johnson will not be capable of steering a course through the ‘Cost of Living Crisis’.

Johnson has not got things done: Brexit remains unfinished and ‘Levelling up’ was a lie to obtain power

Let’s  think about what Boris Johnson has not finished. Brexit remains undone and as a result Northern Ireland has no functioning  government because of questions  that remain unfinished regarding the Northern  Ireland  protocol and the questions  remaining about the transfer of goods without a hard border with the rest of Ireland. There had also been no evidence of ‘Levelling Up’. As I have said this was always  just a slogan and attempt to derail real Socialist values. It was an attempt to steal traditional  Labour Party votes and a blatant attempt  to mislead by lying to voters with empty promises.

Prime Minister Liz Truss’s mistakes have cost approximately £30bn for which she is sorry

Prime Minister Liz Truss’s mistakes have cost approximately  £30bn for which she is sorry: but is that good enough? Well no it’s frankly not. It is incompetence and when people are incompetent they must go. She looks beleaguered and bereft of any ideas. She has to go now.

Is saying sorry enough?

Liz Truss is incompetent and not up to the job. She is profoundly  sorry that her personal mistakes and misjudgements have cost the UK economy approximately £30bn and mortgage payers individually additional  hundreds of pounds extra each month. However she is not personally culpable  alone. She was elected by the Conservative  Party who believed in her fantasy economics and elected her to be their leader and consequently the country’s  Prime Minister.  So this also shows poor judgement  by the whole Conservative  Party  who are also responsible  for this fiasco. If this was really the best candidate that they could muster then they really are bereft of any kind of political  talent at all. If Truss has to go then so to do the Tories  need to go in the national interest.

Consiser this

If I had cost my employer £30bn do you really believe that I would still be in that job role? Of course not. Will sorry go far enough to cover a £30 bn loss to the economy and cover the increased personal costs to people’s mortgages? If so then sorry and forgiveness goes a long way indeed.  Trusenomics is dead. Liz Truss showed poor judgement and now lacks any credibility as Prime Minister. It’s  certainly  no longer in the national interest to have this failed and incompetent individual  as Prime Minister. She lacks credibility, authority and insight: she must go.

The Bank of England and the Government at loggerheads

The Bank of England and Liz Truss’s government are at loggerheads. Both seem to be working  against each other and seem to be opponents. Meanwhile despite this Liz Tuss’s government plays a risky game with people’s pensions and livelihoods. Liz Truss continues to put pensions at risk and puts homeowners  in a vulnerable  position with their mortgages. This is politics playing  with people’s lives. Her actions only compound the ‘Cost of Living Crisis ‘ and make it worse for most people. This is the most irresponsible government that has been seen. This government  and Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng in particular continue to demonstrate lack of insight  and incompetence. The Tories  need to go now.  The selection  of a bunch of amateurs  to steer the country demonstrates and reinforces what I have said previously, that the Tories lack any talent in their ranks and are bereft of real insights into ways in which to tackle the current issues of ‘Inflation’ and ‘The Cost of Living Crisis’.

Murdering Russians are a disgrace: time to arm the Ukraine with longer range missiles?

Another example of the Russians  murdering innocent citizens in the most cowardly  fashion. Putin should be classed as a war criminal who needs to be hunted down. Russia  is a disgrace to the planet. Russia  have shown that their armies are poor when it comes to the battlefield so instead it targets civilians in the most cowardly  manner. This is Putin and his general’s style. The time has come to arm the Ukraine with the means to attack Russia with longer range missiles to completely  destroy  Putin’s bridge and attack Rusdia itself.

Starmer threatens the UK Energy Market suggesting a Publicly Owned Energy Provider

Sir Kier Starmer sent a strong message to the UK Energy Providers  with an underlying threat made at the Labour Party Conference yesterday. If Labour gets elected it will set up a new publicly owned Energy Provider that will be in direct competition  with the current UK Energy Providers. However it will be run for the benefit of the public and not as a privatised enterprise.  This was initially  my idea that I provided to the Labour Party on 19th October 2017. See my post http://havemysay.me.uk/competition-is-the-way-forward-for-the-public-ownership-of-gas-and-electricity-in-britain

Let’s  get an Energy Company that works for Britain: instead of outside interests

So this was originally  my idea of setting up a Government owned Energy Company offering direct competition  to the current suppliers with the aim of putting  them out of business. So instead of raising public funds to re-nationalise we can actually  put them out of business instead without having to pay any compensation  to shareholders. Even though Sir Kier Starmer  didn’t  mention putting  them out of business  that is surely the ultimate aim. Clearing  the way for Britain  to at last and again be in total charge of it’s  energy provision. Let’s finally rid ourselves  of outside interests from other countries  leaching on our energy markets. Let’s  stop subsidising other countries  and standing by while they benefit from our subsidiaries. Let’s  get an energy market that works for Britain  and Britain  alone.

It could be though of as re-nationalisation  by stealth and uses Thatcher’s  own policies of market competition  to re-nationalise and take Energy  Provision back into Public Ownership. This was my idea and it has obviously  been taken on by Sir Kier and the Labour Party.

Should the Energy Providers be worried: you bet they should

So should the UK’S  Energy Providers should  be worried: you bet they should. The public image of these companies  are that they are greedy and exploitative and those that endorse them ( the Tories) are tarred with the same brush. It’s  time to sweep them aside by taking all their customers  by offering a better  deal from a government  owned Energy Provider working for the benefit of all UK  citizens and putting profits back at the disposal of the UK  Government. This is Thatcherism  in reverse at long  last so that the greedy UK  Energy Providers get put out of business using the very policies of competition that brought them into being in the first place. At long last Sir Kier Starmer  has the clear thinking to finally offer some new thinking to tackle the long entrenched, outdated and discredited policies of Thatcherism. With a little  help from me of course.

Clueless Kwarteng borrowing time and giving to the rich

Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng delivered a mini budget unfit to purpose by giving away a large slice of the government’s current income to rely heavily on borrowing instead. Cuts in government  income and National  Insurance  is sure to have an impact on this government’s  abilities to deliver on previous  promises of improvements to the NHS  and the  seemingly  forgotten pledge of ‘ levelling-up’. What’s  also gone from the mandate of  which this government  was elected to do is the commitment to ‘Net Zero’ by scrapping  or postponing the funding which was set aside to do this. So on almost all mandates from the 2019 Conservative  Election  Manifesto they have broken almost every Election  Pledge. This goes to show that the Tories  can’t be trusted to deliver.

Trickle Down Economics doesn’t work

Now Kwarteng is gambling with the economy. He has tried to convince us that he is a genius but instead he has shown that he has only a rudimentary  grasp of economics. His most recent  attempt shows that he can master smoke and mirrors. The majority  of us in the UK will receive a mere 1 penny in the pound amounting to 2 bars of soap and a litre of milk over the course of a month and we are supposed  to be grateful for that: whilst the rich benefit disproportionately. This is another attempt  to install a failed economic theory first tried out by Margaret Thatcher. It didn’t  work then and it won’t  work now. It’s  not a new idea it’s  a rehash of Thatcherism. Trickle down economics doesn’t  work. All it does is increase the divide between  the rich and the poor and opens the door for the richest to exploit the poorest with unemployment  and wage slashing.

To achieve this Kwarteng  has sacrificed the government’s income and instead has reverted to borrowing  to keep the County  afloat. This equates to a situation  of being afloat in the middle of the ocean in a boat full of holes which is sinking, whilst sending out a Mayday  call to the Super Rich to come and rescue us. I doubt there will be much interest  as the Rich will just remain at home counting their increased riches which this mini budget has so kindly  laid at their doorstep.

Third World Britain: a Tory accomplishment all done on their watch

During 12 years of Tory management  they have finally  managed  to turn Britain  into a Third World Country.  This is Third World Britain. The Tories  have turned Britain into a third world country: an all done on their watch. The Tories have turned Britain into a Country where: people could die of hypothermia in the coming winter months, where people cannot find rental accommodation, where students cannot find affordable  rents or suitable digs, where people are unable to find homes to rent and cannot afford to mortgages to buy homes. Britain  is a country  where people can no longer get a dentist, see a doctor or get timely health care. More and more people  are relying on food banks. People have to make choices  between feeding their families and keeping pets. People are having to make tough choices about heating their homes or eating food. People are seeing their businesses going down. People are being laid off due to the uncertainty that businesses are becoming unprofitable  due to overhead costs spiralling  out of control. This is Third World Britain. Welcome to Third World Britain a spectacular Tory Party vision and accomplishment.
