A black & white look at British Politics

    • The Cost of Living Crisis UK
These posts and articles look at ‘The Cost of Living Crisis’ in Britain. We look at who is responsible for the Cost of Living Crisis. We look at what can be done to tackle the Cost of Living Crisis and Inflation. We look at how difficult it is for the Tories to have an adequate strategy to deal with the ‘Cost of Living Crisis’ other than raising taxes and making everybody worse off in the process. We question the Bank of England’s strategy of raising interests rates to deal with Inflation given that it will only heap misery on families already struggling withbmortgage costs. We question whether the Bank of England inflationary measures actually work and whether or not they may actually be promoting a deep recession.
    • Britain needs Socialism now more than ever before
    • A new vision for Great Britain
A new vision for Britain is certainly what we need right now. Current political thinking is dull and dogmatic- we need a new approach to Britain’s problems.
      • Arguments for public ownership of utilities in Great Britain
This category looks at who benefits from private ownership of the Energy Suppliers and the Railways in Britain. There is a strong case that supports public ownership of these companies and the British Public stand to gain from the public ownership of these companies through a Capital Re-investment Programme which could benefit the NHS, public services in general, quickly reduce National Debt and bring a quicker end to the Austerity Measures in the UK.
    • Class War in Britain
Class War in Britain is still very much relevant and more so since 2018 since the divide between rich and poor is increasing. Recent Austerity Measures are hitting the poorest in British Society. Popularity for socialist economics is gaining momentum and rising again. Despite attempts by the tabloid newspapers and the Tories to persuade us that we no longer have a Class System in Britain and that Class War no longer exists. It is becoming increasingly obvious that conditions for the poorest in society now resemble those of the 1870’s Victorian period. There is now a much more obvious class division and much to be gained in Class Warfare. People of Britain are now finally beginning to understand that we live in a Class System and perhaps the only way to improve matters is to recognise our place in that Class System to make a stronger group identity to bring about changes. Despite this some newspapers and those in power still attempt to erode; class identity, and to attack and deride the institutions that brought about improvements for the working classes. This is in an attempt to divide and weaken class identity. Despite this in some sectors there is a…

  • War in Ukraine
A series of Posts detailing my disgust about the War in the Ukraine. Putin continues to wage a war against the Ukraine and mainly against the citizens of the Ukraine. Putin continues to target the civilian population in a cowardly manner in the same way he did in Syria. These posts analyse NATO’s response as well to the War in Ukraine.

Thatcherism still pollutes our water with the stench of privatisation

Ugly Thatcherism still casts a long dark shadow over Britain. The stench of Thatcher and her privatisations pollute many aspects of Britain not least the water that we drink, bathe in or seek our recreation in or near. Thatcherism  still pollutes our water with the stench of privatisation. Much of Britain’s coastline is polluted as our many British beauty spots and for all this you can place the blame on the British water Companies. I say British in a very loose way because many have been taken over by foreign investors who care not a jot about the stinking foul mess that they have made of Britain.

So what should Britain  do about these disgraced Water Companies

Many British newspapers are: unreliable, unaccountable, spreading fake news and manipulating the truth

I looked at the ‘Sun’ and the ‘Daily Mail’ newspapers today and see their headlines attacking Jeremy Corbyn today with accusations of being a coward in trying to avoid a General Election. This is a complete manipulation of the truth and in fact it is fake news. It is a complete distortion of the truth and could only have been conceived by a half witted moron who should have his or her status as a legitimate news reporter removed from them and be given a sweeping brush instead of a pen. Many British newspapers are: unreliable, unaccountable, spreading fake news and manipulating the truth to protect vested interests. This is not good reporting it is distorting the truth in order to mislead. These unethical newspapers should be shut down and prevented from operating and spreading their fake news. Most of these newspapers claim to represent the working classes but in reality they are afraid of socialism and fairness and instead they actually represent the interests of the powerful and wealthy. That is why they attack the idea of socialism so much at any opportunity. These are the ‘Cuckoo Newspapers’ which have been adopted by the working class or enticing them by giving the working class bingo games, get rich quick schemes, entertainment and previously ‘Page 3 girls’. These papers merely pretend to represent the working class when in reality they undermine and attack working class institutions at every opportunity. They obscure or undermine the real interests of the working class through strategies of division and promoting ideas of a classless society and individualism. They instead represent the views and interests of the Tories or venture capitalists. Beware these newspapers they will make a mug out of you and stop you from seeing the truth.

In this particular incidence Corbyn and the Labour Party are not running scared of a General Election at all but they want Prime Minister Bodge-it to make assurances that it will take place before the deadline of the 31st of October to prevent Bodge-it from taking us out of the EU without a deal. Bodge-it cannot be trusted so Corbyn and Labour and other political parties are just getting everything in place so that Bodge cannot get his way and double cross Parliament. If Bodge wants a General Election then bring it on!

How to make Britain Great again

Basically we all get fed up of listening to the news and hearing about violence and the poor state of the British Economy. This article is how to make Britain great again. It is not easy there are no easy solutions to make Britain great again. Tough choices need to be made and even tougher policies need to brought in to tackle the rot of British Society and make Britain great again. How to make Britain great again is not a cosmetic makeover it is a rebuild up with stronger decision making tackling the toughest issues that face Britain today. There are many ways and conflicting opinions about how to make Britain great again and a much nicer place for us all to live in. So what is stopping us striving for and achieving a greater Britain in the future. Here are some of my thoughts about the things that we could put into place now to make Britain great now and achieve an even greater Britain in the future.

A desperate Theresa May hovers around the crumbs on offer at Trump’s Table

In some ways I feel sorry for Theresa May speeding off to the United States to meet Donald Trump. The reality is that she has no choice she has to be seen to be making the best of it. May has to be seen to getting a good deal otherwise Brexit is just going to look like the flop it already is. The EU is sticking to it’s guns and is going to make it hard for Britain. Yes it’s going to be a Hard Brexit after all but May feels that she deflect and distract from all this by harking back to the ‘Special Relationship’ that her predecessor forged with another questionable president running the USA. To me it all smacks of desperation since Trump has openly said that it will be ‘America First’ so really what does Theresa May really hope to gain from her US visit to Trump?

Brexit will make us all worse off

I simply fail to understand that people cannot grasp this simple concept. Brexit will create high inflation and make us all worse off. The devaluing of the pound has made this quite clear in the run up to jumping off the cliff and if we continue then this situation will only worsen. Spelled out this means that we cannot buy our imported goods as cheaply as we do now. Since we rely so much on imported goods (no Britain could not achieve self sufficiency as many Brexiteers believe) so we will all have to pay more for these goods because of a weak pound. Now add on to this the hard Brexit that will occur because of our poor relationship with Europe and then you get Trade Tariffs as well. At the moment we have no Trade Tariffs with European Union. So slap that on the price of our imported goods and you have got to realise that everything is going to be so much more expensive. Inflation devalues your wages and makes you worse off. So is that clear enough now? Do you still want to get out of the European Union under such adverse conditions jumping from the frying pan? Are you willing to make yourselves worse off simply because of your dislike of foreigners and immigration? Yes there may be more jobs as a result of Brexit but you will also be giving the Conservatives the kind of climate they thrive in : namely a high inflation and low wage economy which gives them the opportunity to erode workers rights and working conditions and drive down wages. Britain will be going backwards to the 1880’s as in the Victorian Slum times again if we have this stupid Brexit either that or we all be living like Tom and Barbara from ‘The Good Life‘ TV sitcom because that is what these Brexiteers have envisaged for us : Britain on it’s own again living the self-sufficient lifestyle. Tom and Barbara’s attempts to be self-sufficient were the laughable subject matter for a slightly amusing TV sitcom and Brexit will have the same effect but extended far beyond Tom and Barbara’s back  garden and make us all, here in Britain, the laughing stock of Europe.

Also do not look to the United States of America for help and special trade agreements. Donald Trump has been elected to President of the United States based upon his protectionist stance in terms of trade. In effect he is going to limit imports and force Americans to buy American made products. That is exactly how he intends to revive and re-energize the American Economy.

The Stupidity of Brexit, Cameron and Farage

Forgive me if I am wrong but I was under the impression that the Brexit Referendum was an Opinion Poll and if the result would be in favour then exit from the European Union would be investigated to see if an exit was deemed favourable to Britain socially and economically, then if these conditions could be satisfied then we would leave. It was never my understanding that the outcome of the vote had to be followed to the letter. It appears that instead we have a knee jerk reaction to public opinion so we go running off like a headless chicken running into the darkness of the unknown.

The Brexit Circus is the only Show in Town

It seems that Britain has been mesmerised by the stupidity of Brexit, Cameron and Farage to the point where we are no longer able to make rational decisions. Britain is now a headless Body: a mere avatar for Nigel Farage’s and Boris Johnson’s own political ambitions. Now we have let utter stupidity take over over from common sense in the same way that Hitler came to power in Nazi Germany. Meanwhile the Politicians are falling over one another like a bunch of clowns showing a total lack of judgement because they are more concerned about being unpopular, so they now work for the Brexit Circus following the Brexit opinion: their concerns are more about worrying about hanging onto power than making shrewd and correct political judgements that are in the best interests of Britain as a whole. They should realise that even though Brexit came in as a yes to leave vote that not all those that voted to leave would necessarily show the same allegiance to a singular political party in a General Election situation.

Yobos Rule UK. It’s official !

On 26th August 2016 Stephen Bear won Celebrity Big Brother showing the world that the U.K. celebrates and rewards bad behaviour, selfishness and a lack of self-control. Yobos rule and now it’s official! So this is what it’s come to here in the U.K. This is the type of role model we want and reward is it? Lets crown him the King of the New Pointless Generation whose values are simply their own ego, self-promoting arrogance, ignorance, gang culture, lack of morality and stupidity. Are these the qualities that we wish to celebrate well it would seem so?
