Class Warfare exists in modern Britain and rightfully so. Even despite the best efforts of the newspapers and the government to divide class loyalties it seems that people are realising that: unionism, a strong sense of class identity; a more left wing, socialist, Labour Party will best represent their class interests. Under austerity measures the poor traditionally suffer the most and this is partly what is galvanising a stronger sense of class identity.
